For nearly a decade, this pooch named Lola has been chained inside their property’s garage. The pooch did not have any human interaction for the same period and did not feel any sunlight and fresh air.
A neighbor finally broke her silence and reported Lola’s condition to the AMA Animal Rescue. The whistleblower knew she should have done this a long time ago, but she only mustered the courage now. Volunteers from the animal rescue immediately went to the place to check whether the report was accurate.
When they got the report’s veracity, the volunteers talked to the dog owner. Fortunately, the owner did not prevent the volunteers from rescuing the pooch. Instead, the owner was even thankful that he will no longer have a hand on the pooch.
Even with no human interaction, Lola knew that the volunteers were good people, so she let them take her. The pooch even wagged her tail when the volunteers tried to get near her. This is her way of signaling to them that Lola would come with the volunteers.
The volunteers then brought the pooch to a veterinarian so she could be treated and given due care. Apart from being thin, there are no problems with the dog, according to the veterinarian. With this development, the volunteers were relieved.
The pooch was brought to the shelter, and the volunteers shared her story on the shelter’s social media account. In no time, adoption applications started to pour in for Lola. Out of all the applicants, Charlene Von Saher was given the dog’s custody. The woman promised that she would provide the kind of life Lola deserves. Charlene believes that the pooch would make an excellent pet, and she will not waste this opportunity given to her. Charlene plans to create good memories with Lola.
