Ping An the Golden Retriever was very close to her family. When the dog was temporarily dropped off in a different home, she knew she had to find her way back. A two-week expedition started, and the brave dog made her way home.
Temporary thing
Ping An’s family remodeled their home, so the dog had to stay at a friend’s house because of the loud and scary renovations. They traveled sixty miles and arrived at the dog’s temporary home.
The dog’s caretakers were kind and loving towards Ping An. They gave her food, water, and a huge yard to play in. Even so, the Golden Retriever wasn’t comfortable without the presence of her family.
After four months, the dog sneaked out of the home and headed towards the main street. Ping An was so far away from her destination, but the dog was determined.
The dog’s caretakers were shocked when they found out the dog was nowhere to be seen. They searched everywhere but to no prevail. The only option was to inform Ping An’s family about what happened.
The long haul
For two weeks, Ping An’s family had no clue where the dog was. Luckily, a group of strangers posted on social media about finding the dog. Ping An was limping outside an office building while she asked for food. The dog was friendly but very skinny with lots of open wounds.
Ping An was already so close to her real home by then. The family reached out to the dog’s rescuers and arranged for a meet-up. It didn’t take long before the dog, and her family was reunited.
The dog’s family was glad to have such a smart and courageous dog that traveled all this way to get home. Ping An looked so happy to be home with her forever family.
