Therapy dogs are trained to provide relief to grieving people. This type of dog knows what to do whenever a person is sad. This said it is a win-win decision to hire therapy dogs for people who are grieving or have problems. This therapy pooch from North Carolina, though, is different from the rest. But while Mochi also provides relief, he does it to people who are grieving due to the loss of a loved one.
Mochi is currently part of the staff of the Macon Funeral Home. The primary task of the dog is to console grieving people through his presence. The dog is an adorable one, and Mochi sure knows how to do his job exceptionally well.
While at first, Tori McKay did not agree to the idea of hiring a therapy pooch for the funeral home, she, later on, saw the benefits of having one. Tori said that people who are grieving need someone to cry on, and therapy dogs fit this profile. It was a gamble that later on paid off for Tori and her business.
According to her, the funeral home receives positive feedbacks due to the services of Mochi. For their customers, the presence of the dog helped them with their grieving process. Although it is hard to lose a loved one, Tori believes that people are capable of moving forward from life. This is where Mochi’s job comes in, and that is to let people unleash their emotions without prejudice.
Tori is thankful for the presence of Mochi. The reason for this is that the dog does not help their customers, but also their employees. According to Tori, Mochi has already built a good rapport with the employees of the funeral parlor. From time to time, Mochi and these employees play with each other to break free from their usual routine.
