Dogs are such curious creatures. Introduce something new to them, and they won’t be able to hide their immense fascination over their new discovery. It does not matter if it’s a drone flying low or an inanimate fruit that looks alien to them.
But unlike cats, curiosity won’t kill a dog. Because although they show interest in new things, they always maintain a sense of cautious curiosity. They do not jump into something new just for the heck of it.
Our featured video shows a dog’s encounter with something strange. This strange thing happens to be a motorized head massager. Our dog goes through a roller coaster of emotion during the rest of his head massager encounter.
It’s a short clip that’s definitely worth your time. But don’t take our word for it. Watch it yourself.
In the video, the dog’s mom shows him her head massager with four wiggly leg-like parts. The head massager makes a noise that’s not entirely unpleasant, but not quite friendly to the ears either. At first, the dog’s curiosity is piqued.
Despite his curiosity, the dog seems reluctant to make a full-on contact with the head massager. He seems to be distrustful of it — eventually, his curiosity transitions to confusion.
The head massager moves faster and makes a louder sound. This confuses our poor dog. He then decides that the head massager is not to be trusted.
Confusion leads to utter distrust. At some point in the video, the dog growls at the head massager. He refuses to be intimidated by it and instead tries to be the one doing the intimidation.
Neither the dog nor the head massager wins. Mommy, who instigated the whole encounter, wins. She gets her dose of amusement.
Mom explains to her dog how the head massager works. In the end, the dog understands the head massager is a friend.
